Workers spray pesticides near local area; second case of dengue fever in local area
VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) – San Diego County is capitalizing on its second dengue fever case in the area. Health officials said the man was infected domestically and was not bitten by a mosquito while traveling abroad.
It is unrelated to the first local incident in Escondido earlier this month.
Workers sprayed pesticides in the Vista neighborhood early Wednesday. They ensure that the population of invasive mosquitoes is controlled so that people do not get infected with viruses like dengue fever.
