Batman photos show Robert Pattinson and filming funeral
New footage from the set of Matt Reeves’ upcoming film The Batman has been released, showing several of the costumed movie stars on location in Liverpool as classic comic book characters.
The footage shows lead star Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, along with other big names including Zoe Kravitz and John Turturro as Catwoman and Carmine Falcone respectively.
But the most mind-boggling image shows Colin Farrell as the Oswald Cobblepot AKA The Penguin with the actor rendered unrecognizable due to heavy prosthetics.

Filming took place in Liverpool and the scene pictured appears to be a funeral in Gotham.

There are footage of crowded stages filled with mourners and other Gotham cops, while some of the footage also shows protesters holding up signs that read our Judgment Day and lies, lies, lies.

It appears the funeral in question concerns the character played by Spooks star Rupert Penry-Jones, with speculation he could play Gotham mayor Don Mitchell Jr., one of the Riddlers’ first victims.
Filming for the superhero blockbuster only resumed over the weekend after several delays caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Production initially resumed at the end of August, but was then halted days later after Batman frontman Robert Pattinson was reported to have tested positive for coronavirus.
The film has already seen its release date pushed back considerably due to complications from the pandemic, with its original date in June 2021 having first been postponed to October next year and now to March 2022.
The Batman will see Pattinson take on the role of the Caped Crusader for the first time as part of a huge ensemble cast that also includes Paul Dano as The Riddler, Andy Serkis as Butler Alfred Pennyworth, Kravitz as Catwoman, Farrell as The Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Turturro as Carmine Falcone and Barry Keoghan as Stanley Merkel.
Pattinson will become the last in a long line of A-listers to play the superhero, and hopes to do better than Christian Bale, who was voted by fans as the best Batman of all time in a recent one. RadioTimes.com survey.
