After a controversial TV night, NBC will be looking to keep the past in the past and move forward. There doesn’t seem to be a better time for a brand new episode of Tonight’s Show with Jimmy Fallon.
NBC has faced a lot of backlash for agreeing to broadcast a town hall with President Donald Trump who was in direct competition with former Vice President Joe Biden’s event on ABC. Critics have argued that President Trump should not have been rewarded for withdrawing from the second presidential debate to be spotlighted on the same evening as Vice President Biden.
Tonight’s show was not there to save NBC later that night. Jimmy Fallon and his team have been away all week.

As you may have guessed, the schedule will not change on a Friday evening. There will be no new episode of Tonight’s show.
NBC will instead air a reminder preview of the September 18 episode. Fans can rewatch Fallon’s interview with actress Jessica Alba and her conversation with Fargo actor Jack Huston. The show ended with a performance by Keith Urban.
Like the other late night shows, Fallon has big plans for the next week. So if you can bear to wait a little longer Tonight’s show will come back.
