The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Massachusetts increased by 2,463 on Monday to 250,022 across the state.
The number of deaths from confirmed cases increased by 30 to 10,793. Reported by the Public Health Service.
According to authorities, 58,452 were estimated to have potentially deadly active cases of the virus, and 1,516 confirmed coronavirus patients were hospitalized.
The public health department reported that an additional 43,304 tests were performed on the virus that causes COVID-19. The total number of tests performed has exceeded 9 million. A new antigen test for 469 people has been completed, bringing the total to 280,896.
According to the state, the average 7-day positive test rate calculated from the total number of tests performed was 5.46 percent. The lowest number observed on that metric (a number closely monitored by state authorities) is 0.8%.
