21 Deaths, New Coronavirus Case Over 2.2K – CBS Baltimore
Annapolis, Maryland (WJZ) —According to the State Department of Health, more than 2,200 new coronavirus cases and 21 deaths have been reported in Maryland.
A total of 2,280 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Saturday morning, and an additional 21 Marylanders died from the virus.
Hospitalizations have decreased by 36 to 1,685, with 424 in the ICU.
The state-wide positive rate dropped to 7.10%.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 265,440 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the state, killing 5,514 people.
Since March, more than 5.5 million COVID-19 tests have been performed and over 38,087 tests have been performed in the last 24 hours.
Over 18,000 Marylanders have been vaccinated against the virus.
