Experts in the care sector have warned that the new UK immigration rules will add to the crisis over the recruitment of carers for the elderly and disabled. In England it is estimated that there are already 112,000 job offers in care homes and home care. As of January 2021, new UK immigration rules mean that most foreign care workers will not earn enough to obtain a work visa.
