Vicky Ferrand explained the relief he felt when he received the news that he would be vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccine next week as he continues to treat cancer in the United States.
CervicalCheck campaigners shared news with people via a video posted on Vicky’s Tribe Facebook group, While she was being treated, supporters have followed her journey and shared their message and prayers of support.
She states: “I will be receiving my first dose of Covid vaccine next Wednesday. I am very relieved to be vaccinated now.
“This gives me the freedom to move around and become a tourist on a healthy day.”
Originally from Limerick, she admitted that she felt reassured that she could protect herself from the highly contagious virus.
“I’ve recovered well after the fifth round of treatment, which heralds heading to the sixth round next Tuesday,” she posted on social media.
“After recovering from fatigue and drowsiness, I started packing and cleaning my AirBnB apartment in Bethesda to move across the border from Maryland to Virginia.
“I currently live about 30 minutes away from a hospital in Old Town, Alexandria.”
last week, Vicky posted news about the progress of clinical trials. Her latest CT scan showed no new tumors and she was not ill for 3 days after treatment.
She said she was recovering well after her last treatment and will return to the hospital again on Tuesday for follow-up.
Ferrand exchanged an apartment in Maryland for an apartment in Virginia. In short, she’s close to her friend Geraldine, who is helping her recover.
