In 2023, at the age of 47, the Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade suffered a heart attack. As news of his health crisis spread, many from the film industry extended their support to Shreyas' family. In a recent interview, Shreyas revealed that filmmakers Rohit Shetty and Ahmed Khan, along with actor Akshay Kumar, have shown unwavering support during this difficult time. They checked on his health daily and maintained regular communication with the actor's wife Deepti Talpade.

Talking about the same, Shreyas told Siddharth Kannan, “When I was going through all this, Rohit kept calling Deepti and asking her about my health and if she needed anything. These are the things that make a relationship, otherwise there is nothing. He was in contact with me every day. He, Ahmed Khan and Akshay Kumar were in touch with my wife regularly, asking if she needed anything. They came to meet her and kept calling her.

Shreyas Talpade further opened up about his equation with Akshay Kumar and how the actor is a great friend. He said: “These things are important. Akshay Bhai is a fierce competitor when it comes to his screen space. He wants to be the best. Period. But off screen, he's a great friend. He will do whatever it takes to make sure you are okay.

Shreyas was also asked if he was discriminated against on screen and if his scene was unfairly cut from a film. He said: “It depends on the director and how much control he has on set. Even if we do a little improvisation, we ask the director. After that, we won't go into detail about how it's edited. Sometimes when my scene is cut I feel bad for losing the scene but it is important that the scene is cut for the sake of the film. For example, in Golmaal Again, a lot of people asked me if I was Rohit's favorite because I am shown a lot in the trailer. So it's not in your hands and it shouldn't be. The director is the captain of the ship. I never felt like I was unfairly left out of a scene.

Shreyas Talpade is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Kartam Bhugtam. The psychological thriller film is written and directed by Soham P. Shah. It stars Shreyas and Vijay Raaz in the lead roles.
