Emma Roberts producing Netflix Vampire series “First Kill”
Emma Roberts (Scream 4, the girl in the black coat, “American Horror Story,” “Scream Queens”) will continue to hang out in the horror genre with the upcoming young adult Netflix series “First murder,“ centered around bloodsucking vampires. Roberts will run production on the series.
Variety reports that Netflix has given a series order to ‘First Kill’, an hour-long television series based on the writer’s short story of the same title Victoria VE Schwab.
“When it’s time for teenage vampire Juliette to make her first murder so that she can take her place among a powerful vampire family, she sets her sights on a new town girl named Calliope. But much to Juliettes’ surprise, Calliope is a vampire hunter from a family of famous killers. Both find that the other won’t be so easy to kill and, unfortunately, too easy to crack.
Schwab created the series and will co-write and produce the executive production. Felicia D. Henderson was defined as a show-runner, and eight episodes were ordered for the first season.
