What's new at ABQ: fashion shows, films and networking events

What's new at ABQ is always up to date with the latest and greatest events happening in Duke City. An event that will highlight local creators and support high-impact nonprofit organizations is fast approaching: the Passion for fashion windows.

The showcase will take place on April 26 at the historic Lobo Theater, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the show beginning at 7 p.m. For this female-led event, local salons and boutiques come together to raise funds for SAFE House New Mexico, Passions. History, and Blessed and Beautiful.

Participating salons include Marc Pardo SalonSpa, Casa Verde Salon Spa and Runway Hair Studio; and participating boutiques include What Goes Around, JulieAnns Fashion Boutique and Andy and Edie. The theme of the event is spring fashion for all ages, and in keeping with this theme, the show will feature models of all ages. Tickets for the event start at $25 and can bebought on this link.

Jasmine Reeves-Garcia, the owner of What is happening, is pleased to announce that the company has been in existence for 20 years now. All merchandise in the store is locally sourced, so customers can feel good about what they wear and what they do to help the environment.
