Trump says war between Israel and Hamas could lead to global conflict

At a news conference Friday in Palm Beach, Florida, former President Donald Trump suggested that Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza could escalate into a world war.

“What is happening in Israel could result in a world war,” Trump said.

Trump then went on to criticize President Joe Biden, saying he “doesn't know what he's doing.”

Earlier in the press conference, Trump called the United States a “nation in decline,” initially commenting on “record inflation” in the country.

He then said that inflation was not the worst, but that the war between Russia and Ukraine could end in a world war, saying that this war should never have happened in the first place. Speaking about Biden, Trump said: “We have a president who can't put two sentences together, we have a president who can't find the stairs to get off the stage. We have a president who doesn't know what he's doing. …And we could end up in a world war,” he further noted.

“We now have a little less than seven months until November 5, but that’s an eternity when people are incompetent,” he concluded.

In mid-March, Trump repeatedly called Biden stupid in a speech in Dayton, Ohio, and even called him a “son of a…” before trailing off.

In that speech, he said that if he was not elected in November, “it would be a bloodbath for the whole country.”
