In her first role since leaving her post as editor of The Spectator magazine, Kimberly Solomon Quinn began work as the lead fundraiser for Dame Vivien Duffield's brainchild, the London Jewish Community Center .
Ms Quinn, who took up the post of development director this week, attended the centre's launch breakfast hosted by Dame Vivien in October 2003, which attracted many people not previously associated with the Anglo community -Jewish.

Her experience includes fundraising for the Royal Court Theater and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The former marketing director of the Condé Nast magazine group became a member of the JCC board of directors in 2003.
Although she resigned in December 2004 before media coverage of her relationship with the then Home Secretary, David Blunkett, she is said to have remained a strong supporter of the project and was happy to accept the invitation from the JCC Managing Director, Nick Viner, to join.
Mr Viner announced two further new appointments this week.
Juliet Simmons will become creative director. A former account director at advertising agency DLKW, she has worked at the JCC since its inception in 2004. She chaired the Limmud conference and continues to volunteer for the organization.
Former Southbank Center project manager Katherine Sells has been appointed project director. She led the redevelopment of the Royal Festival Hall and did the same work for the development of the Royal Albert Hall. She is responsible for the construction of the JCC building in Hampstead.
