Nawaz Sharif 'cleared of all charges' while Imran Khan punished in 'fabricated cases': PTI Chairman Gohar Khan – World News

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) does not hold “clandestine talks” with anyone, its chairman lawyer Gohar Khan said, amid reports that jailed former prime minister Imran Khan would have had the green light for negotiations with the establishment and political forces.

On Monday, addressing a press conference after meeting Khan at Adiala jail, Gohar said the ex-prime minister was only looking for names to hold negotiations. No discussions are taking place at the moment, he added.

He alleged that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif was “exonerated of all charges” while Khan was punished in “trumped up cases”.

PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat, who was with Gohar at the conference, said the PTI founder had criticized the appointment of Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar as deputy prime minister and called him ” leader” of Nawaz.

Responding to reports of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders joining the party, the leader said only Imran would take the final decision.

Earlier reports indicated that Khan had given the green light to the PTI for negotiations with the establishment and political adversaries. However, the former prime minister made it clear that any discussions must follow the rules.
