Tim Scott hesitates to accept 2024 election results, says Trump will be president

Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) repeatedly dodged during an interview Sunday whether he would commit to accepting the results of the 2024 election regardless of who wins, instead saying that former President Trump would win his campaign for the White House.

In an interview on NBC News' “Meet the Press,” Kristen Welker pressed Trump's refusal to accept his defeat in the 2020 presidential election and his refusal to commit to accepting the results of the election in 2020. 2024 if he loses.

Welker asked why he would want to join Trump on the ticket when there is such a fundamental difference, and Scott defended Trump's recent statement.
