Yudo Margono began to trust as TNI commander by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the end of 2022. At the time, the man of Balerejo, Madiun, replaced General Tni Andika Perkasa who retired.

Before leaving his position as commander -in -chief in 2023, Admiral Yudo Margono admitted to having benefited from the moment of retirement after his duty.

Yudo also laughed when he asked a question of whether he would open a puppet studio after his retirement. He claimed to be agricultural and felt independent after retirement.
“Hahaha yes, we appreciate it first, we see first, we see first. Yes, it is agriculture. Merdeka,” said Yudo when he was asked about the feeling after official retirement.
But since the beginning of 2024, Yudo Margono has in fact won a new position as president of the independent commissioner of PT Hutama Karya. This appointment is contained in the decree of the Minister of the Bunm SK-45 / MBU / 02/2020 number of February 7, 2020.
