Imran Khan-Bushra Bibi does not receive any visitor for Eid Ul Fitr in Adiala

Rawalpindi: No political leader or family member visited Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), the founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in Adiala prison on the first day of Eid Ul Fitr, Ary News reported sources.

Prison sources said that no official meeting request had been made with Imran Khan or Bushra Bibi on Eid Ul Fitr. However, their families asked for a meeting for the second day of Eid Ul Fitr.

This marks the third consecutive EID UL FITR that Imran Khan goes to Adiala prison.

For security reasons, the former Prime Minister was unable to leave prison for Eid Ul Fitr prayers.

The central mosque in Adiala prison welcomed Eid prayers, with a large number of prisoners, detainees and prison officials present.

The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, however remained in their respective cells and could not participate in Eid prayers.

Sources have also mentioned that Imran Khan did not wear new clothes for Eid this year and continues his religious observances under the current conditions of the prison.

Prison authorities have assured that security and arrangements were in place as usual to avoid any extraordinary incident on holidays.

Earlier, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi granted the permission of the founder of PTI to speak with his sons by phone.

The court, chaired by judge Amjad Ali Shah, approved the request, which was filed by the lawyer of Imran Khans, Faisal Malik.

According to the orders of the courts, the prison administration is required to organize the telephone call, preferably during the next holiday in Eid.

In addition, the court also ordered the authorities to provide Imran Khan for books, as asked for his lawyer.

Earlier, the founder of the PTI and his wife Bushra Bibi filed petitions before the High Court of Islamabad (IHC), requesting the suspension of conviction in the 190 million case.
