Former Harvard women's hockey coach Katey Stone is criticizing the school and is filing a lawsuit against the Ivy League school after she was forced to resign last year over the controversy.

Stone filed a sex discrimination lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Massachusetts on Tuesday, alleging she was forced to resign after false allegations of misconduct and hazing.
Stone also alleges she faced gender discrimination and unfair pay from the school.
She left the program last summer after multiple reports and an investigation into the culture surrounding the team.
In a report by the AthleticsStone was accused of being involved in a hazing program, including the so-called Hunger Games for mental health, which required players to participate in a Naked Skate.
Now, according to her lawsuit, she claims she was forced to leave.
I will no longer stand idly by in the face of inequality and injustice and allow one of the world's elite universities to continue to hide behind the fraudulent veil of fairness, Stone said at a news conference on Tuesday. the Boston Globe reported.

Stones' attorney, Andrew Miltenberg, alleged that Harvard used the allegations to undermine the coach and force her to resign.
Stone did not answer questions during the press conference, but several former players were present to defend their former coach.
The lawsuit alleges that Stones' situation is part of a broader culture at the university in which female coaches are undervalued, underpaid, heavily scrutinized and held to much stricter standards of conduct than their male colleagues.
Stone also named 50 Jane Doe defendants from whom she is seeking more than $5 million and who are being sued for defamation over alleged false statements made to the Boston Globe and Harvard.
