MSU Hockey set for NCAA Tournament Regional vs. Cornell in Toledo, oh

After beating Ohio State 4-3 in a double overtime confrontation, the Michigan State University Hockey team goes on its way to its second consecutive NCAA tournament performance such as the number 2 seeds and number 1 seed in his region.
Bowling Green State University will organize the regional part of the tournament when the Spartans go to Toledo, Ohio, to play in Huntington Center, the home of the Echls Toledo Walleye. MSU is confronted with Cornell, who has earned an automatic offer after winning the ECAC Teer NOST title.
The performance of the tournament marks the 29th of the Spartans of all time, bound for the seventh in the history of Division I. The team has now worked number 1 seeds in back-to-back seasons for the third time in school history, the last arrival in the 1989-1990 season.
Participating in the Spartans and Big Red in the region are the Ohio State Buckeyes and Boston University Terriers.
MSU was recently confronted with Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament Championship and history has repeated itself. After winning the in-state rival Michigan in the Big ten Championship, Michigan was placed in the same region, where it defeated the Spartans in the quarterfinals to continue to the frozen four semi-final, where they fell in the national second place Boston College.
A rematch between the Spartans and Buckeyes could take place again, only two weeks after their previous meeting.
MSU is set for Puck Drop at 5:30 pm on Thursday 27 March in Huntington Center against the Big Red. The Spartans game will be the second of the day, after the 2 pm matchup between the Buckeyes and Terriers.
