Cricket West -India CEO praised Grenadas Investment in Cricket Infrastructure
Chris Dehring, CEO of Cricket West India (CWI), has praised the Government of Grenada for its current upgrades to the Grenada National Cricket Stadium, which is preparing for hosting the West India versus Australia of 3-7 July 2025.
The long-awaited test competition marks the big return of international cricket to the Tri-Island Nation.
Together with CWI President and director of Cricket Miles Bascombe, Dr. Kishore superficial, also toured the location. They were led by honorable Delma Thomas, Minister of Sport, who gave insights into the upgrades that took place.
In commentary on the current upgrades, Dehring noted: “The government of Grenadas Investment in this location is commendable at several levels.”
“Quality infrastructure is not only essential for maintaining high play standards, but also for improving the overall fan experience.
“Given that I am very satisfied with the constant rehabilitation efforts. The work that is being done is of a high standard, and I am satisfied with the condition of the facilities at this stage.
As soon as the lights are in place, this facility can become an important location for day/night testing in the future, so that a new dimension is added to international competitions in Grenada, “he said.
