Write tasks from Microsoft To Do to Google Sheets to Motion

Hi,

I use Microsoft To Do as my main task list app so I can share my lists with my family. I'm trying to use Motion to automatically block time for tasks. I want new tasks that I add to Microsoft To Do to be automatically added to Motion. I also want to update or complete tasks in Motion that I updated or completed in Microsoft To Do.

I tried using a direct connection, but Motion didn't like some of the formatting, so I introduced Google Sheets as an intermediary. When a new task is added to his To Do, Zap adds it to Google Sheets, adjusts some of the date formatting, and then creates a new task in Motion.

I also created an update zap that references the to-do list. When a task is updated, it searches Google Sheets for the task based on creation date and time, updates the sheet, and then updates the motion.

I finally got both of these working, but suddenly the update zap started running on multiple tasks that I hadn't updated, and when I added them to Google Sheets, the task already existed and had no changes. Despite this, I kept adding it. Had made.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is this a known issue with Microsoft To Do? I've burned through tons of tasks due to these unmodified suckers and I'm not sure why it's happening. I don't know if it was.
