The CEO shared an image of Google Maps Platform in a post on X (formerly Twitter) and said, “Starting August 1, 2024, we are introducing new updates to make Google Maps Platform more accessible to Indian developers, including lowering the prices of our core services and accepting payments in Indian Rupees (INR).” In the post, Aggarwal wrote, “Dear @Google, it's too late! Lower the prices of @googlemaps and offer pricing post #ExitGoogleMaps. No more false generosity! We will respond in a blog tomorrow and announce a major update on Ola Maps for @Krutrim. Stay tuned! Earlier this month, Ola discontinued its app integration with Google Maps and replaced it with its home-grown Ola Maps.”
