Varanasi cloud reader who predicts earthquakes

While scientists around the world say there is no way yet to predict earthquakes, one man is changing. Shakeel Ahmed, the “cloud reader” lives in the corridors in the Chittanpura region in Varanasi.

“I was expecting the earthquake in Gujarat in 2001 and then in Kashmir in 2005, as well as earthquakes in other parts of the world. I regularly send my predictions to the ISDR secretariat, USGS, all the important ministries in India and even the media houses, but no Someone takes me seriously. They don’t even reconsider my expectations after they come true. “

Shakeel Ahmed created what he called the Varanasi ionosphere center and seismic center, which he runs from his home. He calls himself its director.

He said that after studying the movement of clouds after the lunar eclipse on June 5, there was a possibility that Delhi would face yet another earthquake in the coming days.

“There were cloud formations that led to a series of small earthquakes in Delhi-NCR,” he said, adding that if clouds remained stationary in the western direction, the possibility of an earthquake could not be ruled out.
