China warns citizens in Japan against preparing for a possible major earthquake

The Chinese embassy in Japan has released a consultant urging its citizens to prepare for the possible major earthquakes, as speculation about a possible seismic event in Japan increases this summer.

In an official notice issued on Monday, the embassy highlighted the risk of a high earthquake in Japan, noting that an earthquake of 7.1 dirty in Miazaki Governorate last August, prompting to alert a government earthquake.

This warning comes after the Japanese government on March 31 reviewed the risk evaluation of the main Nancay earthquakes, which increased the possibility of occurrence within 30 years from 70 percent to 80 percent.
