Huawei EMUI 11 supports video alarm and earthquake warning

Huawei recently launched its latest Android version, EMUI 11. According to the company, EMUI 11 will support seamless connection of video alarms when calling 110 (the police number in China). This means you can make video call to police station and transfer live images in real time. In this way, the police can accurately understand the situation. However, this feature is currently only available in one Chinese city – Guangdong.

At the same time, this system also supports earthquake early warning. When any surrounding earthquake occurs, the mobile phone will activate a popup and sound the alarm. It provides a means of early escape as well as provides inquiry about emergency shelter and medical assistance information. It will help users get timely assistance in case of earthquake. Once again, this feature is only available in one Chinese city – Sichuan.

Huawei appears to be testing operating these features to see how effective they are before rolling them out in other regions. On September 10, EMUI 11 was officially released at the Huawei Developer Conference. EMUI 11 and HarmonyOS emphasize “distributed technology” in breaking the hardware limitations of a single physical device. This feature uses software to define new device shapes, organically connecting people, devices, and scenes. At the same time, HarmonyOS 2.0 devices understand the link and interaction with EMUI 11, reinforcing the 1 + 8 + N strategy. Huawei also believes this brings users a full richer and more exciting scene experience.
