The Kansas City Star reports that 7-year-old Avontay Reed’s mother and 4-year-old Calfontay Cooper have been charged with kidnapping. The boys were placed with their aunt due to their mother’s history of substance abuse and mental health problems. Mother, Mattina Marshall, was on a Tuesday at a district hotel, but the kids weren’t with her. They were considered missing and at risk, but were found safely in southeast Kansas City. The FBI offered a $ 5,000 reward for information that would help find the boys.

Two earthquakes rattle and Wichita
