The Croatian Paralympic repairs the Petringa earthquake damage

Jan 3, 2021 – Tony Bosnyakovic, a 35-year-old Paralympic player, is on the ground to repair the damage caused by the Petranga earthquake.

Croatian Paralympic Tony Bosniakovic is currently in Petrinia, helping to repair damage in the city as a volunteer.

Gol.hr reports that 35-year-old Tony Bosnyakovic had a serious accident six years ago. Namely, Tony fell under a train and was left without the lower part of both legs. But this will not prevent him from succeeding. In his thirties, he discovered the possibilities available to him in sports.

“I immediately realized I had to train for rehab to get back to normal life as quickly as possible. Then I started thinking about competition. He started playing summer sports, triathlon, and athletics, but his love for snow was greater.

“I was asked some amazing ways to do shooting in the Parabiathlon Olympics, but the training, which took place at the other end of town, was too far away. However, I didn’t want to give up. Then the idea came to my mind – Parabiathlon.”

Tony’s story was created through the combined efforts of the Paralympic Committee, the Paralympic Skating Association and the Biathlon Federation.

Two years ago, he participated in the North Running Competition at the Winter Olympics.

“The experience I have there is invaluable; it cannot be bought with money, I saw my competitors. I have seen what it looks like myself. I will not go there as more as a lizard than an experienced Paralympic player.”
