Family of man dying at COVID-19 sues Dallas meat factory

The family of a man who died in COVID-19 West Dallas Meat Processing Factory Where he worked. The lawsuit alleges that the Quality Sausage Company did not take the virus seriously and did not protect its employees.

Hugo Dominguez’s longtime partner Blanca Esther Paragonzares and Dominguez’s brother Pablo allege that he was told to report for work even after the symptoms of COVID-19. They say he got a virus at work.

The lawsuit also alleges that Dominguez was not given proper armor and training, and Quality Sausage knew of the dangerous conditions workers were exposed to in the factory.

The company “could not provide employees with a safe work environment,” the lawsuit said. It adds that Dominguez’s death may have been prevented and that the company’s negligence led to his death.

Forklift operator Hugo Dominguez died on April 25. However, the lawsuit alleges that around April 8, some workers in the factory were found ill with the symptoms of COVID-19. Another employee of the factory reportedly died after Dominguez.

In a statement, Quality Sausage Company said it had not received a copy of the suit and had not commented on the pending suit.

The company reviewed safety procedures and suspended production to test all workers.

Due to the COVID-19 infection, some of the largest meat processing plants in the country have been closed. Cut pork production by at least 25%. President Trump signed the executive order on April 28. You should keep the meat factory open to avoid shortages.
