Children May be offered soon at the young age of 5 COVID Jab, according to public health experts.

Professor of Public Health at the University Edinburgh Linda Bold says it will be a “reasonable next step”.

Speak in BBC Bold of the Sunday Show said: “Israel and other countries only support all adults, not by age group.

“You start with the most vulnerable, but then you boost all qualified adults.

“It could be what’s happening here, and we’ll be at least in our thirties, maybe below.”

Currently, the Joint Committee on Immunization and Immunization (JCVI) recommends providing jabs only to people over the age of 12 in the United Kingdom.

However, in the United States, vaccines are being rolled out to younger age groups.

Bold added: “Many parents want it (children’s vaccination).

“Soon there will be more global data. JCVI is very cautious about vaccination of teens and adolescents, but that seems like a real potential future step.”

Larry Flanagan, general secretary of EIS, Scotland’s largest education union, said the Covid-19 vaccine should be given to children over the age of five to combat the spread of the virus in schools.

He states: “We are in favor of providing the vaccine to young people,” we say at Serg (Scottish Education Recovery Group).

“At Serg, it’s clear that the United States has begun vaccination of that particular group, but I was surprised to discover that there is currently no vaccine approved for each age group in the United Kingdom.

“Hopefully there is some work going on to ensure that the decision to allow vaccination for that age group is made.”
