Indiana Discovers Bird Flu at Sixth Turkey Farm
Bird flu was confirmed at the sixth turkey farm in southern Indiana, state officials said Tuesday that 16,500 birds on the farm would be killed while the state was waiting for confirmation of a viral disease.

Depopulation efforts are underway on premises containing 16,500 birds. . ”
The 2014 and 2015 HPAI epidemics have killed 50 million birds, primarily spawning chickens and turkeys, and raised egg prices in grocery stores.
