Six hospitals in the Boston area are participating in a national effort to study long-term COVID, a condition in which patients suffer from symptoms for weeks, months, and even years after the initial infection.
Recent studies estimate that more than 23 million Americans have a long COVID experience. It is a collective term for about 200 symptoms, from memory problems, brain fog, fatigue to chest pain.
