Second COVID-19 booster coming soon to Marylanders
It may be time for some Marylanders to get another coronavirus vaccine if they fall into certain vulnerable populations who are more prone to the deadly symptoms of COVID-19.
The Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announcement A second Bivalent Booster Shot will be available in the coming weeks.
Bivalent boosters also protect against older and newer Omicron versions of COVID-19. The first bivalent booster was recommended last fall.
This latest booster will not be available until fully endorsed by the FDA and CDC. Also, not everyone needs it.
