ORLANDO, Fla. (Ivanhoe Newswire) – According to the NIH, about 43% of Americans take supplements such as: calcium. Calcium is an important mineral for maintaining strong bones. However, if you are considering taking the exam, calcium supplementsthere are some risks you should be aware of.

However, dietary sources of calcium do not pose the same risk.
Dr. Michos said: “I advise my patients that the safest approach is to try to get their calcium from food. We believe that the way they process calcium is very different.”
Foods such as milk, yogurt, and almonds are rich sources of calcium. The recommended dietary intake of calcium for most adults is 1,000 milligrams per day. For women over 51 and men over 71, that’s 1,200 milligrams.
