The leaked document indicates when the blockade restrictions in Nottinghamshire will begin.
Tighter blockade conditions for Nottingham and the wider Nottinghamshire will be announced next Monday and will come into effect next Wednesday (October 14), according to a document leaked to local senior council figures.
Nottinghamshire Live reports that the city’s county will be placed at “Level 2” of the new signaling system for a future blockade announced on Monday.
According to the leaked documents, people can still spend their vacation outside their area, but only with those they live with or have formed a support bubble.
You cannot meet people from other households in a private house.
Indoor hospitality, leisure and retail visits are limited to one household unless two households are in a support bubble.
The document states: “The National Gold (Committee) has agreed with the Chief Health Officer’s recommendation to make both the City of Nottinghamshire and all seven districts of Nottinghamshire County into intervention areas.
“The Secretary of State wants to be in a position to move to a new stratified approach, now called local risk levels, in one step next week.
“Therefore, there is no local risk level announcement from the central government this week. We are currently aiming to clarify whether the watchlist will be released this week.
“Our current expectation is that the approach will be announced on Monday, October 12th and the new standardized regulation will come into effect on Wednesday, October 14th.
“Levels 1 and 2 measures are currently approved by the CovidO Commission, but more work is underway at Level 3.”
Earlier Thursday, Nottingham City Council leader David Melen responded angry to a proposal that further restrictions on the city could be postponed until next week.
Melen was speaking ahead of the news that Nottingham currently has the most coronavirus infections in the UK. The city, and perhaps the larger county area, is expected to hear about new, stricter measures today (Thursday, October 8).
