Positive resident test in nursing home transferred positive-News-MetroWest Daily News, Framingham, MA
SHREWSBURY — A local man accused Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skill Donating Center of management and a mother (a resident of Worcester Nursing Home) tested positive for a new coronavirus after moving out of the facility last week.
“This whole process of relocating the most vulnerable has turned out to be a disaster,” said Tom Duhani on Friday.
A salmon health and retirement spokesperson said Friday that he could not comment on individual patient cases.
According to Duhani, the 82-year-old mother is now at the Umass Memorial Medical Center, which has the new coronavirus.
“I think it was a bad decision. The bad decision to do it from the governor’s office and the bad decision to accept it (for nursing homes) are that our loved ones are now suffering from the virus Because it could lead to death. “

According to Duhani, her mother Eva moved to a salmon facility in Northbridge last Saturday. “She doesn’t know why she was moved,” Duhani said.
He criticized salmon health for not testing residents before moving them.
“Before they embarked on this move, they should have tested them all,” Duhani said. “They should have done this first and took precautionary measures. It’s too late … Hopefully, performing the necessary actions wouldn’t be harmful to those patients. “
He also criticized the lack of supervision of nursing home facilities during the coronavirus pandemic.
