Mothers share Covid’s symptoms of seeing a baby rush to the hospital
The young mother said she shared the symptoms she had shown before her baby was taken to the hospital on Covid-19 and was unaware that the signs were signs of coronavirus.
Four-month-old Baby George was taken to a hospital after becoming seriously ill and stayed at Basildon Hospital in Essex for three nights.
Mum Myer Rudelhoff said George was vomiting, had spots on his skin, swollen lips, had a high temperature, and had difficulty controlling fluids.
she said BBC : “I thought it was a sick bug. I didn’t think it was caused by the coronavirus.”
Meyer first discovered that little George had a temperature of 39.4 on New Year’s Eve before he began vomiting the next night, and his mother called NHS111 on January 2.
The call operator advised him to take the baby to the hospital, but Meyer was initially worried that he might catch Covid, who “did not know he had it,” and was initially disappointed. I didn’t move forward.
“When we arrived, he was very poor and really lethargic,” she said.
“They took a cotton swab and when he said he was positive, I burst into tears. It was very shocking.”
According to Meyer, the nurse told her she had treated multiple children with the same mottled skin and illness before advising other parents to share her story to warn them.

Dr. Kilali Ominu-Evbota, a pediatric consultant at the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, told the BBC George’s family that he “did the right thing” and urged other parents to seek medical advice through 111 or their GP.
