Sedgwick County Extends Eligibility for COVID-19 Vaccine to Remaining Phase 2 Residents
Sedgwick County is currently providing vaccines to all categories of residents in Phase 2 of the state’s immunization program.
Phase 2 includes workers in public security, higher education, restaurants, aviation, and transportation. 12 other important industries.. It also includes a collective setting like a homeless shelter.
“We are ready to overcome this and take care of everyone,” County Commissioner Pete Meitzner said at a press conference Thursday afternoon.
The county has previously vaccinated residents aged 65 and over, health care workers, and teachers and staff from kindergarten to high school. Earlier this week, we started vaccination of several employment groups in Phase 2.
