Here’s what LA County could reopen as soon as it enters the yellow layer:

Los Angeles County’s COVID-19 index continues to decline, and the county is on track for the widest reopening as it may move to the least restrictive yellow layer next week.

County Public Health officials said the county would move to the yellow layer as early as Wednesday if the county maintained its current figures for another week, and the revised health official order would come into effect on Thursday, May 6. I said it was planned.

At this level, more businesses such as museums, zoos, and aquariums are expected to lift capacity limits, but other changes include:

• Restaurants and cinemas You still need to limit the capacity to 50%, but not to 200 people.
• Gym and fitness center You can increase the capacity from 25% to 50% and reopen the sauna, spa and steam room. Capacity can increase to 75% if all guests show a negative test or evidence of complete vaccination.
• Wineries, breweries, distilleries You can increase your indoor capacity from 25% to 50% or 200 people (whichever is less).
• bar Indoor operation can be resumed with 25% capacity or 100 people (whichever is less).
• Family Entertainment Center You can increase the capacity from 25% to 50% and change and restart arcade games, ice skating and roller skating areas, and indoor playgrounds.
• Cardroom and satellite gambling hall You can increase the capacity from 25% to 50%.
• Outdoor live events such as live performances and sporting events, You can increase the capacity from 33% to 67%.
• Indoor live event For venues with a maximum capacity of 1,500, the capacity can be increased from 15% to 25% or 300 (whichever is less), but venues with more than 1,500 seats can accommodate 10%. Or it does not change from 2,000 people.
• amusement park If you are allowed to sell walk-up tickets, you can increase your maximum capacity from 25% to 35%.

If all guests show a negative test or evidence of complete vaccination, a 50% capable business unit could increase it to 75%.

The state also revised its water park guidelines on Wednesday to allow the orange layer to resume with 25% outdoor capacity. This can increase to 40% in yellow.

County Public Health Service officials said they would work with supervisors and sector partners to prepare for the possibility of a transition to yellow, but perfectly align the county’s public health order with the latest state guidelines. It’s unclear if there are any plans. Governments and the public health sector can carry out stricter orders than California imposes.

With stable state vaccines and hospitalizations, the transition to yellow will be only about a month earlier than Governor Gavin Newsom plans to fully resume by June 15.

Newsom plans to abolish the state’s four-tier system and allow the entire state to resume at the same time, allowing “daily activities” to resume. All sectors can return to normal operations in compliance with the requirements of the state workplace Cal / OSHA.
