West Nile virus found in mosquitoes in Weld County
A weekly mosquito test in Colorado found the West Nile virus in Weld County, but state health officials said people across the state should take precautions.
According to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, not all counties and cities have mosquito testing programs, so the virus may be present in other parts of the state.
The best way to protect yourself is to reduce the chance of being bitten by a mosquito.
