Contra Costa Coronavirus deaths, increased hospitalization

ContraCosta County—Another person died of COVID-19 from a coronavirus, ContraCosta Health Services reported Friday. County deaths are currently up to nine.

The county health department also increased the number of cases to 511, up 26 from Thursday, but the number of people currently in the hospital increased to 35 on Friday.

At noon on Friday, California had 20,300 confirmed cases and 552 deaths. There are 486,500 cases and 18,000 deaths in the United States. There are 1.6 million cases confirmed worldwide and 101,500 deaths.
