Health Minister Adrian Dix said there were 1.7 million calls as of 9:40 am on Monday.

Many people contacted Global News and said they had called hundreds of times at health authorities but didn’t get through. Others say they have been connected for hours and eventually disconnected without a promise.
But thousands of people have succeeded in making promises.
This system is not a first-come-first-served system, and anyone qualified can make scheduled times starting next week.
Fraser Health is the only health agency that offers both a call-in system and an online booking system at this stage of vaccination deployment.
“There are five days to book. If your appointment isn’t booked today. You’ll have time,” Dix said.
“There is a huge response. This shows important support for vaccination. It should be time for people over 90 to book.”
The state requires only one person to call each eligible British Columbia state. This can include the individual or one loved one.
“We ask everyone else patiently,” Dix said.
