Samantha on the challenges of filming Citadel-Honey Bunny: My strength dropped 50%

Mumbai – Samantha Ruth Prabhu spoke about her work on 'Citadel: Honey Bunny', an Indian adaptation of the American series 'Citadel'.

The actress said she was at her weakest during her workout and her strength dropped by 50 percent.

“I was at my lowest level while training for “Citadel”. Additionally, I had to maintain a calorie deficit because I was trying to give my body enough time to heal.

“My strength has dropped by 50 percent. It was a long and quite difficult process,” said Samantha, who took a year off after being diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune disease.

“Citadel: Honey Bunny” is created by Raj & DK. It also stars Sikandar Kher, Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem and Emma Canning.

Kriti Sanon reveals her biggest fear: stagnating and being pigeonholed

Mumbai– Actress Kriti Sanon has opened up about what she fears and said she is afraid of being typecast and stagnating.

“In fact, I'm afraid of stagnating. No one should say that I only do the same kind of films or play the same kind of roles. I'm afraid of being typecast because with that people get bored, said Kriti, who will next be seen in Crew.

Kriti, who has managed to captivate audiences with her work in films like 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', 'Luka Chuppi', 'Mimi' and 'Teri Baaton Main Aesa Uljha Jiya' among others, said she was excited when she plays a myriad of characters on screen.

There is always an excitement when you play a different character or play a role. But if that same excitement stops, maybe you won't want to go to work anymore and that boredom always scares me,” she said.

Kriti will next be seen in 'The Crew', which also stars Tabu, Diljit Dosanjh and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

The film is scheduled to release on March 29.

Raveena, who plays a lawyer in 'Patna Shuklla', reveals her family ties to the courts

Mumbai– Actress Raveena Tandon, who is awaiting the release of her upcoming streaming film Patna Shuklla, said she comes from a family of lawyers.

Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, the actress, who plays a lawyer in Patna Shuklla, said the legal profession was in her blood.

She also shared that her uncle and grandfather were part of the justice system in different capacities.

I come from a line of lawyers and judges. My uncle was a public prosecutor in Madhya Pradesh. My grandfather was a judge of the Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh High Court. So, my talent for law comes from that lineage, Raveena said.

My husband (film distributor Anil Thadani) says I am very good at debating. He also thinks I would make a very good lawyer. I am happy that I got to live the life of a lawyer vicariously through my character in Patna Shuklla.

Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha to launch a local fashion brand and empower local artisans

Mumbai – Bollywood couple Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are set to launch their own homegrown fashion brand that showcases local artisans.

With their label, the couple aims to breathe new life into one of the oldest art forms deeply rooted in Indian culture.

They aim to rejuvenate the local artisan community of Lucknow.

Richa said: “We have always strived to work at the grassroots community level in everything we do. We have always wanted to bring sport to local communities, our social efforts are also always something we strive to do from a legal basis.

So, when the idea came to us that we wanted to do something for the artisans, especially those in Lucknow who have been practicing the art for years, we wanted the label to be a reflection of that.

Richa revealed that she and her husband have always been impressed by the craftsmanship of local artisans, especially those involved in making exquisite and intricate textile works.

The actress added: In today's times, except for a handful, many local artists and artisans are disappearing and struggling to survive in the face of technology and mass products taking over. So we wanted to preserve that and help a community showcase its work, its art, its talent. (IANS)
