Parineeti Chopra, who plays Amarjot Kaur, Amar Singh Chamkila's wife, posted the same on her Instagram story. Tripti Dimri also praised the film on her Instagram story and wrote: Loved it, loved it. It was so good. I have been a big fan of Imtiaz sir and he has outdone himself in this one. Even Diljit and Parineeti, they were adorable and I enjoyed it from start to finish. It was really good.

Kartik Aaryan hails Imtiaz Ali's musical biopic

After watching the Diljit-Parineeti biographical drama, Kartik said, “It is a charming and beautiful film. I really enjoyed the music. Everyone associated with it, I love them all, especially Imtiaz Ali sir. Hats off to all the cast and crew of the film. Amar Singh Chamkila is based on the life of the late Punjabi singer who became controversial because of his songs. He was known as the “Elvis Presley of Punjab” due to his popularity.

For those who don't know him, Rajkummar, who praised Diljit's film, will also be seen in a drama biopic titled Srikanth. The film is based on the life of entrepreneur Srikanth Bhola who pursued his dreams despite being visually impaired. Director Tushar Hiranandani also features Alaya F, Jyothika and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles.
