It is often difficult to select a candidate as my party's nominee for the House of Representatives, especially now that there is a wide field to choose from. And this year, the reason I'm part of the election process is the strongest I've ever seen (double primary June 18, early voting starting May 3). The fact is that our system of government is moving closer and closer to fascism, not creeping. (This is defined by Big Everything, business, media, entertainment, finance, services, technology, military, etc., working with Big Government for their benefit, not us, the people.)
Combined with some very bad policies, this is not good for our historic system of government or the people it was intended to serve and protect and especially not for the American people today.
To focus, I developed my own list of 15 requirements. At the top was my typical oath of office and understanding of what it means and how to adhere to it; understanding and fidelity to the Constitution of the United States and the distinction between promoting and providing for the general welfare; and the big two are integrity and intelligence.
Two events this weekend put understanding geopolitical and national security issues at the top of the list, and neither of them took place in the United States. The first was listening to Madison's neighbor, Dr. Robert Malone, and his speech in Romania in which he best defined globalism as central planning (i.e. socialism/communism/totalitarianism). The second was a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Germany where the stated goal was A Caliphate is the Answer. » (One world government and Sharia law combined into one big global package.)
