BJP to release 2024 Lok Sabha polls manifesto tomorrow Sankalp Patra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present
The BJP will on Sunday release its manifesto – Sankalp Patra – for the Lok Sabha elections, with its welfare and development elements and a road map for 'Viksit Bharat' expected to feature prominently in its election manifesto.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior party leaders will attend the unveiling of the manifesto at the party headquarters which coincides with the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, a prominent leader of the Dalit community and an architect of the Indian Constitution.
While the BJP government has fulfilled most of its core ideological promises, including the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the abrogation of Article 370, all eyes will be on how the cultural and Hindutva agenda more broad of the ruling party will appear in the manifesto.
Party sources said measures for youth, women, farmers and the poor – four “castes” that Prime Minister Modi has often talked about – will be among the highlights of his election promises.
The BJP had appointed a manifesto committee headed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh which met twice to deliberate on its contents after the party launched several exercises, including sending vans across the country and campaigns on social networks, to solicit suggestions from the population.
