Jokowi meets Apple boss at palace tomorrow morning, will discuss investments

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo will meet Apple CEOTim Cook at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (17/4/2024) tomorrow.
This was conveyed by Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Budi Arie Setiadi when confirming the agenda of the meeting.
“Tomorrow, Apple CEO Tim Cook is scheduled to be received by the President Jokowi at Merdeka Palace at 9:30 a.m. WIB”, said Budi Arie when confirmed Kompas.comTuesday (16/4/2024).

According to Budi Arie, President Jokowi and Tim Cook will discuss investment in Apple in Indonesia.
He also said the investment plan was good news because it meant Indonesia could become part of the technological advancement ecosystem.
“Apple investment in Indonesia. Details will wait for tomorrow's meeting,” said Budi Arie.
“This is a good thing for Indonesia because our country is an important part of the ecosystem of technological progress,” he said.
As previously reported, Tim Cook also plans to visit the Apple Academy in the Tangerang BSD region during his visit to Indonesia this time.
