UK passes controversial Rwanda asylum seeker bill
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak scored a certain political victory after the British parliament on Monday passed his hotly contested bill to deport asylum seekers to Rwanda, although the country's Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional Last year.

Around 6,000 people have made the journey to the UK via small boats so far this year. More than 100,000 asylum files have been in limbo since London signed an agreement with Kigali in April 2022.
Britain has already paid Rwanda $240 million ($298 million), while the Sunak government could hand it a 50 million more after the bills were passed, The Guardian said.
