Arrest warrants issued against Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi and PTI leaders – Pashto News and Current Affairs Channel

Islamabad police have obtained arrest warrants against Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and 94 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers. The case concerns vandalism during a recent protest in Islamabad. The Kohsar Police Station filed the complaint, which also includes other prominent PTI leaders.

The warrants target several PTI figures, including Sheikh Waqas Akram, Omar Ayub, Sher Afzal Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Aliya Hamza, Semabia Tahir, Shoaib Shaheen and Ali Bukhari. The charges stem from riots and unrest in Islamabad's D-Chowk area last week.

Sources confirmed that the Islamabad police were considering forming special teams. These teams will work to quickly arrest suspects and enforce the law.

In related news, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad sent Imran Khan to judicial custody for 14 days. This decision was taken in connection with a case at the New Town Police Station. Imran Khan was already in Adiala jail when he was re-arrested in connection with this case after he was granted bail in the Toshakhana case.

ATC judge Amjad Ali Shah approved the judicial detention of Imran Khan in the New Town police case and seven other cases. These additional cases involve vandalism charges.

The police are continuing their efforts to bring to justice those involved in the D-Chowk riots. The warrants and subsequent arrests highlight the government's strict law enforcement stance.
