The American-Chinese war probably but not inevitable, warns the best political scientist
An eminent scholarship in international relations warned that the war between China and the United States, although not inevitable, was likely, but their interdependence in fields such as the economy and the climate could help them to avoid conflicts.
The war between the United States and China, inevitable? No. Probably? Yes, said Graham Allison, the founding dean of the universities of Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government. Allison, who was deputy defense secretary under former American president Bill Clinton, comments on Sunday at the Harvard College China Forum.
Allisons' speech came after US President Donald Trump imposed an additional 34% tariff on China last week, which caused Beijing Tit-For-Tat response.
