Cochran, Marcel and Coleman will go for the DH sweep of Brown on Wednesday
SMITHFIELD, RI – The Bryant University softball team earned their first doubleheader sweep of Brown in program history with 2-1 and 11-3 victories at Conaty Park on Wednesday.
Hannah Cochran hit a home run in the victory in game one. Megan Marcel and Makenna Coleman went deep in the game two victory, while Alexis Clancy went 3-3 at home with four RBIs.

- Cochran started the game with a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the first inning (1-0).
- In the bottom of the fifth, Marcel singled and got a pinch-run for Alyssa Garabedian. She advanced to second base on an out error and set up Coleman, who doubled to left center, giving Bryant a 2-0 lead.
- The Bears cut the lead on a sacrifice fly to right in the top of the sixth inning (2-1).

- Cochran led off the bottom of the first inning with a walk and advanced to second on a passed ball. Olyvia Smith then advanced Cochran to third base on a sac-bunt. Aleix Hudson walked, allowing Clancy to hit an RBI double to the gap, bringing home two (2-0). Alexis Larrow scored the last run of the inning on a single through the right side (3-0).
- In the bottom of the third, Hudson doubled to right and advanced to third base on a passed ball. Clancy then singled to score Hudson (4-0). The Bulldogs then had runners on first and second base due to an HBP and fielder's choice. Marcel then launched a three-run bomb to right-center, extending the lead to 7-0.
- Gracie Bishop singled in the next at bat, followed by a two-run homerun by Coleman, the first of her career (9-0).
- With two outs, Smith singled, then Hudson doubled to bring Smith home (10-0). The Bulldogs' eighth run in the third inning was produced by a Clancy RBI single (11-0).
