PolyUnity Tech enters into 5-year partnership with pediatric healthcare company

CHEO has signed a five-year agreement with PolyUnity Tech to use the company's additive manufacturing-as-a-service (AMaaS) solution.

This follows a successful evaluation conducted in 2022-2023 on how digital inventory and 3D printing can help solve supply chain problems.

The evaluation was supported through the OBIOs Early Adopter Health Network (EAHN) and is said to have resulted in over 200 new innovations, 1,281 products delivered and 460 devices repaired and returned to service.

As a result, CHEO will continue to leverage PolyUnity's 3D printing technology to further reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and avoid complex procurement processes. PolyUnity has developed an AMaaS solution that allows healthcare organizations to take advantage of additive manufacturing technology without the large upfront investment required to purchase and install machines.

CHEO will continue to have access to this service for at least the next five years.
